About CHITRA SOUNDAR

Chitra Soundar is an award-winning author of over 60 books for children. She creates content for TV, stage and audio for young audiences. She is currently developing shows based on her books and original projects!
Chitra created and executive produced Nikhil & Jay (11’x52) with King Banana TV and Paperowl Films, commissioned by CBeebies. Series 1 is now airing on CBeebies, ABC (Australia), TVO (Canada). Chitra also wrote 17 of the 52 episodes on Nikhil & Jay.
She holds a MA in Economics from MadrasUniversity, India and a
MA in Writing for Young People, Bath Spa University, UK. She has over 20 years of experience at senior levels of programme management at multinationals.
She is represented for TV, Film and Audio by Warren Sherman at Cecily Ware Literary Agents. Please get in touch with Warren for all enquiries regarding writing engagements and new projects.
